Ireland team for Argentina: Prendergast fit, Casey picked over Gibson-Park
Dan Sheehan captains a side missing Caelan Doris, Jack Conan and Garry Ringrose, while Argentina have made 12 changes for Friday's Nations Championship match.
Follow-up to Ireland vs Argentina on Friday is a Nations Championship test for Contepomi's side

Sam Prendergast is back from a wrist injury to start at fly-half for Ireland against Argentina, and Craig Casey gets the nod at scrum-half ahead of Jamison Gibson-Park.
Gibson-Park is named among the replacements, so the half-back pairing for the Nations Championship match is Casey and Prendergast. Our earlier piece on Friday's Nations Championship test for Contepomi's side has the kick-off details.
Changes up front and in the back row
Hooker Dan Sheehan captains the team in place of the injured Caelan Doris, according to BBC Sport. Jack Conan is also missing through injury. Nick Timoney starts ahead of Josh van der Flier, who is on the bench, and Sean Jansen also starts in the back row.
Tadhg Furlong is free to play after a disciplinary committee cleared him of grabbing Gavin Coombes in the groin last month.
Returns and a centre switch
Mack Hansen, Andrew Porter and Ryan Baird come back after missing the Six Nations and the summer Nations Championship Tests through injury. In the centre, Robbie Henshaw wears 13 because Garry Ringrose is out with a hamstring problem.
Argentina rework their side
Compared with the XV that played to a 28-28 draw against Australia in September, Argentina coach Felipe Contepomi has changed 12 players. Toulouse full-back Juan Cruz Mallia returns, in line for a first cap since November 2025 after injury.
