Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi takes his side to Dublin for a meeting with Ireland on Friday 6 November. He is a man who played for and coached Leinster.

The match is at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, kick-off 20:10 GMT. It is Argentina's first game in their second block of Nations Championship fixtures.

Contepomi succeeded Michael Cheika as head coach after the 2023 World Cup. His Argentina have beaten New Zealand, South Africa and the British and Irish Lions. The win over the Lions came in Dublin last year.

Contepomi played for Leinster and was the team's fly-half in the lead-up to its first Heineken Cup in 2009, before leaving for Toulon. He later spent four seasons as Leinster's attack coach.

He has also been on the other side of a notable result. In 2024, when Joe Schmidt coached Australia, Argentina beat them 67–27. Across 2024 and 2025 the two sides met four times and each won two.
