URC Women's Leadership Academy opens 2027 applications to 30 November
Fifty applicants aged 18–26 from around the world will be chosen, and one will be named the Academy's MVP with work experience at the URC Grand Final.

Young women who want a career in sport have until Monday 30 November 2026 to apply for the 2027 URC Women's Leadership Academy, which is now in its fifth year.
The United Rugby Championship will select 50 successful applicants, aged 18–26, from around the world. Each must submit a short video biography covering their passion for sport, their career ambitions and why they want to join.
Participants take part in live online workshops and mentoring sessions led by leaders from sport, business and media. Speakers include Hollie Davidson, Deirdre O'Sullivan of World Rugby, Michelle Wilson and Motshidisi Mohono.
One standout participant will be named the Academy's MVP. That person gains work experience at the URC Grand Final and an internship opportunity in the global sports industry.
The Academy launched in 2023 and is supported by CVC. CVC funding helps cover travel, accommodation and participation costs.
The next phase will expand through the URC's international stakeholder network, with collaborations involving organisations including the Kolisi Foundation and WTA Foundation.
Ashley Keenan said: "The Women's Leadership Academy gives young women the skills, confidence and connections to build a career in it."
