Australia face England at Twickenham on Sunday 8 November needing to show they have recovered from two heavy Bledisloe Cup defeats. The match is the first of four Nations Championship games on tour, and kicks off early on Monday 9 November Australian time.

The Wallabies conceded 93 points in the two losses to the All Blacks. That ended a six-game unbeaten run under new coach Les Kiss.

Max Jorgensen said the squad had dealt with it directly. "We reviewed those two games pretty hard," he said, and Rugby Australia says the Wallabies have fixed the issues ahead of the trip. The new hip drop law has applied since 1 November.

There is a recall in the squad as well. Rugby Australia says it selected Kurtley Beale, a 37-year-old utility back with 95 Tests, who hopes to play internationally for the first time since 2021.

Australia also have happy memories of the ground. They beat England there with an 83rd-minute win in 2024, and Jorgensen scored the try.

England's November does not end with this game. They go on to play Japan, New Zealand and a play-off opponent who has yet to be decided. The Nations Championship finals follow at Twickenham in late November.
