Hugo Keenan scored three tries as Ireland swept past Argentina 42-12 in Dublin, but coach Andy Farrell still felt his side had let a chance slip.

The win came with a bonus point in the Nations Championship, and the hosts ran in six tries. Captain Dan Sheehan, fly-half Sam Prendergast and replacement hooker Ronan Kelleher got the other three. Ireland led 21-5 at half-time.

Argentina were hampered by yellow cards for Justo Piccardo and Efrain Elias, and by an early head injury to captain Julian Montoya.

Farrell was not fully satisfied with the margin. He said "the story of the game is we missed a chance to be ruthless."

It was Ireland's third win from four Nations Championship matches, after victories over Australia and Japan and a loss to New Zealand.

Injuries cloud the result. Sheehan failed a head injury assessment, and Baloucoune, Jansen, van der Flier and Hansen all took knocks.

Ireland host Fiji on Saturday 14 November 2026, then face world champions South Africa.
