Australia came from behind at half-time to beat Scotland 38-31 at GIO Stadium in Canberra. The result gave the Wallaroos all three Tests in the series, in a match that also served as the international farewell for Cecilia Smith and Emily Chancellor.

Both players had announced earlier that week that they were retiring from international rugby, and the day had another milestone for Australia: Eva Karpani ran out for her 50th Test.

Scotland lead at the break

The occasion did not make it any easier for the hosts. Scotland went into half-time 17-14 up, and the Wallaroos turned the game around with three tries after the break. One of them came from fullback Faitala Moleka, who was named player of the match.

Friedrichs seals it at the death

Scotland were still pushing for a draw in the closing moments, but centre Georgina Friedrichs won a turnover at the death to close out the win.

Australia's tries came from Whitaker, Stewart, Moleka, Duck and captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona. Samantha Wood was perfect off the tee, landing all five conversions and her only penalty attempt. Before kick-off we looked at Scotland's team changes for Canberra.

The win means the Wallaroos finish their 2026 season on a high.
