Northampton vs Leicester result: Saints win Prem Rugby Cup derby 39-19
Seven tries at Franklin's Gardens kept Northampton's semi-final hopes alive and left last season's winners Leicester bottom of Pool B.

Northampton answered their heavy Premiership defeat at Welford Road a fortnight earlier with a 39-19 win over Leicester in the Prem Rugby Cup, a result that keeps their semi-final hopes alive. BBC Sport described it as a dominant derby victory at Franklin's Gardens.
The win stretched Northampton's run to 16 successive home wins in all competitions. They scored seven tries, with wings Tom Rowe and Amena Caqusau and full-back James Martin each touching down twice. The result gave the Saints a measure of revenge for the Premiership loss.
Northampton led 27-7 at half-time, with Rowe, Caqusau and centre Toby Thame all scoring before the break. They did it despite losing scrum-half Jonny Weimann, the night's captain, to injury in the 29th minute, after he had created their first two tries. They were already without Alex Mitchell and Archie McParland.
Leicester managed three tries, two from hooker Sam Moli and one from Osian Thomas. After three successive defeats in the competition, the side who won it last season are bottom of Pool B.
Elsewhere, Sale beat Bristol 21-19 to go top of Pool A. Fans can follow the latest rugby standings and logs and rugby results on RuckBee.
