The Sharks have signed Springbok flyhalf Manie Libbok on a multi-year deal, which starts in July 2027.

Libbok has been here before. He had a brief spell at the Sharks in 2020 and 2021, then joined the Stormers, with whom he won the inaugural URC title in 2021-22.

The Sharks described the signing as a clear statement of intent, as head coach JP Pietersen builds a new era at the club. Pietersen said: "Manie is a game changer and a playmaker. That’s exactly the kind of player we want driving our game."

Libbok himself said: "For this next chapter of my career, there is no club I would rather be joining than the Sharks"

Libbok is a Springbok flyhalf, and the South Africa national side's page lists more on the team.
