England have called Charlie Atkinson into their training squad. The Gloucester fly-half replaces Fin Smith, the Northampton fly-half, who has been withdrawn from the England group with a calf injury.
Smith was hurt in the second half of Northampton's Premiership defeat at Leicester on Saturday 24 October. He will stay with the squad to be treated but will not train.
He drops out during England's three-day camp at Pennyhill Park, the national side's performance centre, where the squad is working until Tuesday 27 October.
The camp is preparation for the Test against Australia at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, on Sunday 8 November, when England meet the Wallabies in Round 4 of the Nations Championship.
