Zac Lomax, who moved across from the NRL in March 2026, will make his senior Australian debut this weekend. He starts at outside centre for Australia A in their second match against the USA in New Jersey.

Lomax pairs up with Kadin Prichard in midfield. He is one of several changes to the side that opened the two-match series in the United States with a 61-12 win over the USA Eagles at Geodis Park Stadium in Nashville on Saturday 24 October. That result is now in the rugby results.

The return match at Sports Illustrated Stadium, New Jersey, kicks off at 11:00 AEDT on Saturday 31 October, which is 02:00 SAST. It is the last of the two games against the Eagles, and Stan Sport will show it live. It appears with the weekend's other games in the rugby fixtures.

Changes in the back three and the loose trio

Corey Toole, a Wallabies wing, comes into the side and makes up the back three with Lachie Anderson and fullback Mac Grealy.

Up front, Matt Faessler captains the team from hooker. Wallabies loose forward Luke Reimer plays his first game of the tour at openside flank. Joe Brial, man of the match in Nashville, keeps his place in the loose trio. In the second row, former Australia U20 captain Toby Macpherson starts alongside Test lock Nick Frost.

Stephen Larkham expects the hosts to come back harder after the heavy defeat. "The Eagles are a proud team we are expecting a strong response this week," he said.

He added that the selection rewarded the whole travelling group: "This tour has required a whole squad effort and it’s pleasing for everyone to earn their opportunity to perform in the gold jersey."
