Ben Whitehouse will referee his last United Rugby Championship match in Round 4. The Welsh official has the Dragons v Ospreys derby at St Helen's in Swansea, the final game of the round, which kicks off at 20.00 SA time. The URC has confirmed it will be his final league game as a referee.

Whitehouse has two jobs in his farewell round. Before Swansea he is an assistant referee, working alongside Carwyn Sion, when Cardiff host the Sharks at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday 23 October. That match kicks off at 20.45 SA time, with Italian referee Andrea Piardi in charge for his 61st league game.

Officials for the South African sides

The Bulls play Ulster at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday 24 October at 13.45 SA time. Scottish referee Ru Campbell takes the whistle for only his fifth league game. South Africans Stephan Geldenhuys and Sean Muller are his assistant referees, and Sam Grove-White is the TMO.

At the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, Irish referee Robbie Jenkinson takes charge of the Stormers v the Scarlets, which kicks off at 16.00 SA time. It will be his fourth league game. Two more South Africans, Christopher Allison and Juan de Bod, are running the lines.

The other South African side in action, the Lions, face Edinburgh at Hive Stadium. Irish referee Peter Martin will be in the middle for his 17th league game.

South African referees abroad

Two South African referees take charge of matches in Europe. Griffin Colby has Benetton v Glasgow Warriors at Stadio Monigo in Treviso, his 13th league game. Hanru van Rooyen, with just two league games behind him, takes Connacht v Zebre Parma in Galway for his third.

Andrew Brace takes Leinster v Munster at the Aviva Stadium for his 116th league game, with Colin Stanley as TMO. You can find more referee appointments in our laws and refereeing news.
